Busy Day in the Woodshop - Family owned and Operated

One thing about it, there is never a quiet moment in the shop, between Tim and I creating noise we have Dylan & Scooter who always seem to have some sort of woodworking going on. They are either creating spears, barns for their toy animals, carving rifles out of 2x4's or building boxes to hold what ever types of toy that has caught their interest lately. Heck, a few weeks ago, Scooter had built a small bench and brought it into the house to sit on.

On Monday Scooter and I worked on her table project. She wants to use a burled pine stump and have a redwood top on it. So we polished up her redwood, I then carved out a horse head, a scroll design and a horseshoe. Her and I then inlaid it with turquoise. Now all we need to do is polish up the turquoise and oil the top. Here is a picture of how it looks right now

Here the kids are working on their projects...

At the same time, I was sanding on a coffee table top, and Tim was working on pine table  base

Theres our guard dog BO, he was taking a break

Here is the redwood headboard crate, Tim and I were able to get it on the trailer with the help of Dylan and Scooter, it will be loaded on a truck this weekend and heading to Texas

It will be nice to get this crate and some other crates out of the shop, it is time to do a good cleaning so we can continue to work on our other projects.
