Curly Redwood Slab Tables with Burled Pine Bases

It always amazes me how fast time goes by and how busy we all seem to be. I always tell myself that I am going to keep up to day with this blog and post weekly. Haha well is seems like my intentions are good but finding the time has been crazy. Anyway, for reals this time, I will be posting projects weekly, I believe I finally have a system....

These three redwood curly slab tables were made together as a set. The original plan was to have one table that was 10' long, when we ordered the slabs fro Redwood Burl Company and they were getting ready to ship, our clients and us decided to build two tables that are 5' long.

The slabs arrived and sat in storage until we were able to start on the table project. When the time came we brainstormed some different ideas since our client gave us free creative design over the tables. We decided that it would be a great idea to make three tables, with the larger redwood table being the tallest and then making the smaller tables shorter.

Once we had the tables completed and set up, we were surprised at how well it all came together. This project was a complete joy to work on, I love being able to see how the wood comes to life with a little bit of patience and love.

Curly redwood is by far our most favorite grain of redwood slab to work with. The coloring and grain truly speaks for itself.
