Curly Burl Redwood Slab Headboard Part 3

The headboard is now flipped back so that the top can be worked on. the edges are shaped with a grinder, smoothed with a power sander and then more polishing and sanding is done by hand.
 







Tim devised a way to router down the top of the headboard, this was a lot faster than using a planer and trying to sand the saw marks out by hand. 

All that is left is some ridges from routering, these were removed with a hand sander
 



 This is after the top has been 100% sanded down to 400 grit
